PRIMER 1: Getting Started

Transformation That Empowers

Mindsage is a non-academic program. The concepts we teach can not be memorized or calculated. They must be developed.

01 — Background

MindSage is based on actual soft skills courses and concepts taught in some of the most innovative companies and organizations today.

02 — Bridging the Gap Between School and the Workplace

Soft skills or durable skills as they are called now, are not taught explicitly in school. Yet, a study by Americasucceeds.org indicates that employers need graduates with durable skills more than ever.

According to a survey carried out by the Association for Talent Developers, it was discovered that 92% of executives acknowledge the existence of a workforce skills gap. Furthermore, the same survey revealed that 44% of executives hold the belief that individuals are lacking the necessary soft skills to drive business success.

Our program is designed to give you the student, the opportunity to develop the professional level durable skills that employers seek most.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop the mindsets, attitudes, habits, traits, and qualities of the highly successful, peak performers in the world today.

But you’ll have to put in the work!

03 — Self Study, Self-Development

The durable skill lessons in our growing professional skills library are designed for self-study, or can be used as the bases for class lessons.

To get the most out of each program, please carefully consider the following keys to getting the most out of our program:

  • The MindSage program comprises non-academic lessons, meaning that merely reading through the material won't provide you with its full benefits.

  • Resist the temptation to simply skim or rush through the content. Instead, read paragraphs and sentences attentively. Take breaks to contemplate and answer the questions presented. It is strongly advised to utilize a journal - jotting down your thoughts and later reviewing them can often lead to profound self-discovery and personal growth

  • View each lesson as time invested in becoming an HVI (high-value individual). Completing the MindSage program is not about studying to get a grade or certificate. Mindsage is about reaching a whole new level of investment in yourself, which will positively impact the rest of your life.

  • In Mindsage, transformation is fueled by the metacognitive or self-awareness component of our program. While we can offer guidance, it's ultimately up to you to genuinely become aware of how you think, feel, and act in connection with each lesson. If you are not willing or ready to do the metacognitive work 100%, you’ll leave so much of your potential un-tapped.

  • In our MindSage program, we emphasize and value growth, not grades. Therefore, prioritize your growth. If required, make necessary adjustments to any negative thinking, attitude, and behaviors. Otherwise, what would be the point of participating in the program?

  • Cultivate the qualities, traits, positive mindsets, and habits to transform into a Highly Valuable Individual (HVI) who will achieve success in both the workplace and in life.

Stop and pause here for a moment. Can you recall at least two keys to getting the most out of our MindSage program?

If not, go back, re-read this section, and try to really appreciate what you will need to do in order to grow and develop as much as possible.

04 — Workplace Setting

MindSage was designed as an internship to facilitate the learning and real-time application of these professional skills in an authentic real-world work environment.

As a MindSage+ member, you have priority access to applying for in-person training workshops, which include group project learning.

During the live project training, you'll get a firsthand experience of a real work environment. Collaborating with teammates from various locations, both within the country and globally, you will collectively decide the course of action, problem-solving strategies, production methods, content types, and messaging for your live project.

But if you apply and are accepted to a workshop, come prepared to collaborate, suggest, interact, ideate, provide and receive feedback and contribute. This isn’t the classroom.
